i would have to say ipod. i personally like them better bc they have more varietys and colors and ect. and by vote of the people who buy them, way more people have ipods, and i havnt really heard a lot about the zone, but i do kno it came out after the ipod and it was just an attempt to copy the ipod  =/

I would say ipod. Why?

Ipod has been out much longer so there will be more assecories for it and online applications.

Other than maybe a radio, wireless sharing (if you can find another zune) and wireless sync, i'd say the iPod is better

It all comes down to this: iPod has had a 5 year headstart on the mp3 market. They have had time to work on an accessory market, the largest online store, a simple music program, reliable customer service, and an easy to use product.

There will always be more technically capable mp3 players on the market, with more features and a better price. However, I think ipod is the best long-term investment, considering the reasons above

But this is coming from someone who owned a Zune 30 and now has an iPod touch

iPod. all the way. think about it. the ipod came out first, than the zune. Microsoft just made a horrible attempt to copy apple. like they do with everything. the zune is just a copy of something better.
