  1. KTM! My ktm is the best bike ive ridden so far and ive won 2 trophies on it and ive only just started racing.. its an 85 06

  2. I have a KTM 250 EXC 4 stroke. LOVE IT! But it has some negatives!  Least of all is the kick stand. It is such a flimsy poorly designed component, it is not strong enough to hold the weight of the bike!

  3. seriously unless your a pro class rider or a reli good "b" then it truly depends on the color you like.in which i am a yami fan but if your getting like a 450 or even a 250f the lil(which reli isnt much)extra weight is deffinately worht it for the electric start.all bikes should have them cus you cant win a race if your bike is light and you cant get the dayumm thing started..but i like yami but no one has a powerhouse like a ktm

  4. Yamaha.....

But I am partial to the big blue......

  5. One of my riding buddies has a KTM 250 four stroke and has had problems with keeping the shifter and kick starter on. The shifter came off during a race (after tightening it) and the kick start stripped out!! I rode it and am not real impressed. Yahama to me is the better choice! But I am a HONDA man myself!

  6. Yamaha, though certain sizes of KTM's are improving.

  7. It really depends on what you plan on riding and what size of bike you are looking at. Both are very great bikes tho...

  8. A YAMAHA

  9. umm KTM is pretty good., but i just recently got a Kawasaki KX125, which is the bestt!!! :D

  10. What size? These are both very excellent dirt bikes.

  11. I can't really say...because they both have awesome bikes...Yamaha is good for MTX and cross country like the YZF 426 those are bad ***! But the KTM is great for cross country too I have a 2007 KTM 250 enduro model

  12. I don't know which KTM or Yamaha you are talking about. The 65cc class has great KTM's. Everything else seems to be better with a Yamaha. Honda seems to be the best overall though.

  13. No doubt in the 65 and 85 class the KTM is the alpha male. In the 125 class the YZ is a great bike but KTM has the 144 and Yamaha does not. All in all KTM suspension works best in the woods but is a little behind on the track. It will work but because of the no linkage setup it can be a little over active in things like breaking bumps and is also very tricky to get dialed in properly. There really is no best answer...sorry.

  14. I basically comes down to personal preference and would depend upon what size of bike you are looking for.  Yamaha don't make a 65cc bike so that isn't an option.  Parts for KTM's tend to be more expensive but the bikes tend to have better shocks etc out of the box.
