That really is up to personal preference. When I think about the two menus, I think McD's is better b/c they "seem" less salty. I know there's salt on their fries, in their condiments (sauces) and they salt their meat while it's cooking. You can ask for no added salt to their food - even their fries, choose a salad and don't use the dressing (that's where a lot of the salt is). KFC has a lot of fat in their oil and a lot of salt, too. I think McD's has a more varied menu and lower prices on the $1 deals. I still vote for McD's as the best french fries - along with In and Out burger - if you have them. They just taste healthier to me. And I guess, I 'm partial - my first job was at Mc D's and they have pretty high standards for storing, preparing and  cleaning up around their food.
