Which is better? please answer whom ever you are?

so my friend and i are Christians and both agree that s*x before marriage is not good and we trust god that he know ever conceivable reason why it is and why he tells us not to. anyway thats just a bit of back ground information.

see the thing is my friend is very popular with the girls and got into a relationship he really didn't want and then somehow out of his character he went to third base, but he told me that he didn't like it and he felt very uncomfortable. then after a little chatting he said that he thought i was in a good situation since I'm the most unpopular person with girls i know haven't even come close to first or even a decant chat with a girl my age (offline that is). but the thing is i wouldn't be uncomfortable with third base and hate being so unpopular with girls.

so i propose this question regarding in both circumstances s*x would be regretted. is it better to be popular with girls but not want to be popular or to be unpopular yet hate not being remotely so?

It seems like a case of 'the grass is greener on the other side'.  Whichever way no one will be happy.  I suppose if in life or death situation I'd have to choose being unpopular, because then there is no fear of being bitched about behind your back...

yes you can defitnetly regret s*x wether because it wasnt the right time or the right person or because it turned sour. BUT you can also NOT regret s*x. i dont think there is anything wrong with premarital s*x but in your case i think you should stick to your guns. And about the whole unpopular thing sounds strange. no one needs to know your plans. and the people that consider u unpopular are dumb.
