  1. prefer Blu ray..i am not sure on the other

  2. Well...you're comparing a Satellite provider to a hard media...which is different in itself. However, Blu-ray is capable of deliving video in 1080p, while sky HD can only do 720p and 1080i....so in a nutshell, Blu-ray will deliver higher quality picture. That and SKY HD has to compress certain video feeds, Blu-ray is not compressed.

  3. Both SKY HD and FreeSat HD are not as good as blu-ray dvd's.

Sky and freesat can only handle 1080i and 720P so is not true HD. The video and audio is also compressed more than on the blu-ray disc. Both use mpeg-2 but the blu-ray format is much less compressed than the DVB type used.
