  1. 2 handed

  2. Those two handers can cause grief

  3. two handed backhand

  4. depends on the situations, styles & approach of an individual player:

    1 hand - swifter stroke; if a player always stay early on the incoming ball like Fed;

    2 hand - if the ball gets pass the body, this type can still control the return shot back to the opponent; this type will correct a player who's a little bit late in his stance

    both equally at best when adopted well by a player & so accustomed with it.

  5. Real men hit one handers which are a nicer looking, more powerful stroke. Little boys and wimps use 2 handers until they grow up or are strong enough to hit ones. Unless they never had a real coach to teach them who to then they may stick with it out of not knowing how to hit a one hander properly.

    Yeah I know ... truth hurts.

  6. As someone who uses a one-handed backhand, I find it makes it easier to generate more power and topsin and you can react much quicker and it's less likely to go out. Whereas with the two-handed, though there's nothing wrong with it, I've tried it once and it zaps a little energy and takes a little bit more finesse to make it work. They both really have good and bad things about them, but for some players it works for them. It really depends on your type of game.

  7. 2 handed - more control , defensive

    1 handed - less control , offensive

    so, i prefer 2 handed backhand!

  8. Depends on your style of play.  One-handed backhand is more of an agressive one, while two-handed is more comfortable for defensive style.

    If you like to play in front of the net, you simply won't have enough time to get into the position to hit a two-handed one (which is why players like McEnroe, Sampras, Federer used a one-handed backhand).  If you like to stay back behind the baseline, however, then two-handed one may be better since you'll be able to put more power and control into your counterpunch (which is why two-hander was used by Borg, Agassi and now Nadal).

  9. well it's not which is better they both have pros and cons. one handed you have better longer reach and usually more control and more back spin.

    2 handed is more power and usually takes the ball on the rise sooner.

  10. basically it's a matter of preference. with 2 hands it doesn't necessarily mean that you will get more power than using 1 hand but it might be easier to control whereas with 1 hand you get more reach. they are both good in different ways.
