  1. Oyster card, easily.

  2. I'd recommend an Oyster Card with a travelcard on it.

If you know where you're going to live, you can check which zone it's in on www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/1106.aspx and so you would know which zones to get.

The pros of getting an Oyster significantly outweigh the paper travelcard, for example you...

... can top-up extra cash, if you're travelling outside your travelcard zones (meaning you don't have to buy an extra ticket).

... don't have to worry if you lose it, you can register it and will get your travelcard back if you Oyster is lost or stolen!

Also, I think the travelcard itself is cheaper on the Oyster, compared to the paper travelcard. You may have to pay £3 as a deposit for the Oyster, but you will get this back when returning the card.

    Good luck!

  3. oyster defiantly

  4. The Oyster Card - you can load this up with pre-paid cash for travel by bus, tram or tube.  However, if you do this, it is not always valid on overhead railways.  So, to get around this, you might find that loading up with a weekly or monthly travel card is far more advantageous.

  5. I think the travel card would be best as the Oyster card is more for people who live in London x

  6. If you're getting more than a couple of trains a day, a travelpass on your oystercard is the way to go.  You can get either four weekly tickets or one monthly one, which covers all tubes in zone 1 and 2 and all buses, and costs about £25 for a week.

  7. oyster card

  8. It Depends how often you are going on the tube and to how many different places and going to use it 5 or more times per day

If you are going to loads of different places then the travel card

but if it is for work say from canary wharf to waterloo then the oyster card would be best

Which ever way you do it , it will become expensive if you use it alot in that month

  9. I'd recommend the travelcard, which you can load onto an Oyster card, but it depends on what you are doing, i.e. which zones you will be using the most and if you are going to travel frequently during the day. If you aren't, you could just use the pay-as-you-go option; otherwise, I'd stick with the travelcard.

  10. Oyster card- we use them whenever we spend a week in London and they work out great!
