Which is better water to drink bottled water or tap water ?

I would think that it is bottled water. Because tap water isn't filtered. And bottled water is.

Bottled water can sometimes be more "dirty" than tap water because there arent any regulations to manage bacteria content and whatnot.  Plus it can get expensive.

Just spend about $30 on a PuR or Brita water filter and buy some reusable sports bottles or a pitcher and fill it up then put it is the refridgerator.  It takes about 7 cents to pay for a gallon of tap.

I live in Australia, and i drink tap water.. Theres no problem with it really.. It tastes better than bottled water, bottled water tastes like chemicals to me..

Bottled water is too expensive to be living off.. and its not good for your teeth in the long run..

It makes no difference.  Tap will have flavor from electrolytes in some parts of the country, but it's not 'bad' for you.  Filtered can actually be bad for you, because there are no local regulations on bacteria, etc.

Actually neither of your choices.

Purified tap water is the best for us for health, economic and environmental reasons.

Most bottled water is filtered or purified tap water. Those bottled waters which is spring water may or may not be filtered either. Even spring water can still have contaminates in it. Bottled water has nor more regulation than tap water does.

Tap water has chlorine, excess minerals and various other things we don't need. Yes the water plants do clean stuff out and make it safer for us but it realy is not desirable nor always safe to drink right out the tap.

Purified water from your tap is much better. It filters out anything that is still in your tap water. It does not matter if your water is from the water system or a well. It is much cheaper than buying bottled water all of the time. Even though many people recycle the plastic that bottled water come in, not all of it is recycled. Still if we did not buy it at all then that would even be less energy needed to recycle something too.

So if you really want to drink water that is safe for you, cheap, and good for the environment then go buy a purification system for your home.

I love the tap water where I live,I cant help but wondering with bottled water how long its been standing and think of it as stagnant water but without the moss lol

Go the cheap AND healthy route.  Bottled water has more chemicals than you would ever believe.  Most of the brands that say they are directly from nature really aren't that clean.  Also, tap water actually has stricter regulaations than bottled.  Also, a big advantage of tap water is that it contains chlorine, which has been proven over and over to have very good protection powers for your teeth.  If you're still worried, you can buy a filter, I reccommend Brita, which leaves the chlorine but removes other chemicals you believe you may have.  Even with gas prices, bottled water still costs more to the gallon than gas.  Point to tap.

Bottled water has all of those plastic bottles and what are you, or Mother Nature/Earth, going to do w/all of 'em??????  

And some of the bottled water comes from the tap in some other city!  Sheeze!

Buy a Britta water pitcher and use your home tap water.

bottle water is better, tap water has fluride in it to clean ur teeth a little bit while u drink it, but it tastes terrible and in to much quantities of tap water can make u feel sick
