Question:

Which is better?Gymnastics or Tumbling?

I don't really know which one to do. What do they teach you in both? Thanks =]

  1. if u want to be a cheerleader or somethin tumbling is fine but gymnastics is a bigger sport and has much more stuff


  2. I think Tumbling is more about floor excersises and Gymnastics is Rings, Bars, Vault, etc...

  3. DO GYMNASTICS!! u learn to tumble in gymnastics plus u get mor flexibility discipline and all that good stuff!!! i was a gymnast for 14 years and i miss it....its hard work at times but i wouldnt trade it for the world....

  4. Gymnastics, you can get really hurt in tumpling. Like I broke my arm.

  5. I prefer tumbling but they both make you flexible. In tumbling you only lear floor work (front handsprings back handsprings back tucks) in gymnastics you do beams bar and vault with some floor work. I hope this helps you!

  6. Tumbling is essentially only the floor work in gymnastics. Gymnastics includes floor, beam, bars, and vault. Although in tumbling there is no dancing, unlike floor, and you are able to learn harder and more complex 'flips' on a tumble track. If you want a feeling of excitement, power, and strength I would go with tumbling. But If you want variety and 'artisticness', go with gymnastics. (Don't get me wrong, gymnastics is power and exciting to, and also takes ALOT of strength)

  7. it's two different things. Tumbling is for little kids and not very experienced people. Gymnastics is either little kids or older people who can handle challenges.

    Also, in tumbline all you is floor. In gymnastics you do everything. (floor, beam, vault, and bars)

    Gymnastics is a more general term and can include: uneven bars, balance beam, etc
