Which is cheaper: using lamp or room light?

Would it be cheaper to use floor/desk/table lamp only or the light on the ceiling for the room? Or does it all depends on what kind of light bulbs you use?

USE FLORESCENT LIGHT BULBS on either one that you use. i dont think it matters unless u use the energy saving bulbs

It depends on how many watts and what kind of bulb (regular/ energy saver)

It depends on the wattage  of  the bulb your using.. If  say  you have 60 watt bulbs  in all of  the lamps, electricity usage  is  the same. Use a lower watt bulb  to lower costs.
