  1. Poison causes hair loss.

Hair loss here is considered a single symptom of poisoning, so it's singular.

  2. Poison causes hair loss of course!! if u would say, pioson causes hair losses, it wouldn't sound right. its just common sense.

  3. Poison causes hair loss. this is because "losses" is it's plural form

e.g.= How many losses did you get?

  4. Think carefully, make sure everything!

    Good luck!

    Abrçs!!!

  5. As Mamie says, hair is a 'collective noun', (even here in Britain :P)which means that it's singular rather than plural, hence 'loss' is also in the singular form.

  6. Poison causes hair loss = poison causes loss of hair.

Does it? Depends on the poison, I suppose.

  7. "Loss".

Because the word "losses" is only used in a different context, e.g. the losses during a war.

  8. Poison causes hair loss.  Hair is a collective noun and in America is used in the singular (although I think that even the British would say hair loss, not hair losses).
