  1. They are both technically correct but it depends on the context and your style.  Really, I would generally choose "not to take" in my writing unless I had a really good reason not to use it (there, I just did it!).

  2. both are correct

  3. If you choose NOT to take further action sounds the best.

  4. 2nd

  5. the first phrase is correct

  6. The 1st one is absolutely correct.

  7. "to not take" is a split infinitive which those who are very picky about English consider to be improper.  Both are correct, but "not to take" would be the better choice especially if you're addressing it to someone who's picky about language.

  8. Both

  9. i would say #1 sound better.

but i think in this case both are correct

  10. If you choose not to take further action...

this one is the correct answer ^^

  11. "Not to take" fits better with most sentences, but it really doesn't matter. There is no exact rule in English grammar that specifies which would be correct, because the context of the sentence would determine that. As long as the word order is logical it wouldn't matter which. English comes from Latin, and in Latin it doesn't matter how the words are organized, in most cases. The biggest thing for English is making sure the sentence makes sense.

But most of the time, "not to take" would make more sense.

Remember that just because a sentence sounds correct, that doesn't mean it is. People mess up grammar all than time when they speak and write, and then people assume that that use is correct.
