What is the correct word to follow the term "assist" in a sentence? That is, which is correct -- assist me "to", "with" or "in"?

  1. Assist in and assist with are both commonly used.  I don't think people say "assist to".

  2. I would say generally "with," but either of the others could be used, though not as commonly.  Would depend on context.
