I'm job searching for 3 months now. Seems like I'm competing with hundreds of resumes & applicants for one job position.

  1. Yup, I've been searching since April. It sucks. Especially because I got accepted to graduate school then turned it down and now I can't even get a job at Taco Bell because I'm "overqualified". Just hang in there, you'll find something eventually.

  2. Graduated 2006 BS PHYSICS.  HUNDREDS OF RESUMES!, I'm back in grad shool.

  3. You may need to rethink your job search strategy.  It is clearly easier in some places than in others, but I've worked at universities on both coasts this year, and while finding a job takes a little longer than it did a couple of years ago, it hasn't been terribly difficult for anyone.  Our internship coordinator told me this afternoon that 52% of our interns are still being offered full-time jobs upon the completion of the internship, which tells me that the job market for new grads has not slowed down much.
