Which is easier to blab about and do, raise taxes or own up to fiscal responsibility?

Republicans and democrats in congress all blab about fiscal responsibility and that is about all they do blah, blah, blah.  Now when it comes to raising taxes this is when they all jump on the bandwagon.  They always use the excuse we must raise taxes to be fiscally responsible.  They never, ever say we can't afford this program or that program.  They all just spend money like the taxpayers have a never ending supply of cash.  I want to see some serious cost cutting before I see another tax hike.
