  1. MALE!!!! and girls spray and most are mean.

  2. I would say a male. When the females grow older they could be having kittens left and right.

  3. male. maybe female

  4. i think female, males can get to randy

  5. doesnt matter once either one is neutered

  6. male, they take little poops

  7. Doesn't matter, you should get either of them spayed/neutered as soon as possible.  Both will spray to mark territory, but it's mostly males that will do that, and some will do it whether they are neutered or not.  It's up to you and your family to teach your kitten the appropriate behavior.  Use a firm NO! not yelling, and don't reward the behavior by continuing whatever action that was happening (such as the kitten bites while playing - say NO! and walk away - if you keep playing you are saying without words I didn't mean no, just not now - so it's ok you bit me).  Good luck with your new little buddy!!!

  8. maybe female or male  every breed is different

  9. Male cats are way easier. But no matter what s*x you get make sure to get him/her neutered!

  10. female... male cats spray and the smell is dreadful!!!! Although male cats are great company.

  11. I've always had better luck with females.  I had a male kitten once and I could NOT break him for nothing.  We had to give him up :(

  12. both could be good- i have a male and a female cat and i can honestly say both have there own little idiosyncrasies   that make them special. At a push, i would have to admit that my male cat is far grumpier than my female and my female is more affectionate and playful.

i think how you raise the cat will have a more substantial impact on how they turn out.

  13. I got a male cat for these reasons: It's cheaper and less invasive to neuter a male than to spay a female, and males are generally known to be more accepting of being picked up and held.

Males spray when they reach sexual maturity at 5-6 months. It doesn't always happen though. They do it to mark their territory and so females can smell their scent. I just had my male 3 month old neutered yesterday, and he's back to normal today.

  14. FEMALE ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

the worst mistake i made was buying a male kitten. don't get me wrong i love him to death, but he pees on the carpet. and he starts fights.

  15. Spraying means they leave their scent around the house. It STINKS. Females are a little easier if for some reason you have to wait to get them fixed (which I do not recommend) Although when they go into heat some can get very mean, and loud. But if you are planning on doing things properly and getting them fixed ASAP then either is alright. I did find the males I've had can be rougher when playing.

  16. A male, because a female can get pregnant.

  17. I think a female is easier if you have her fixed. Otherwise you're in for a mess.

  18. If you have the kitten spayed or neutered there shouldn't be any difference in maintenance and if its done fairly early the cat won't feel the need to  mark  its territory so spraying shouldn't be a problem. If you see a cat, usually male, back up to something with his tail in the air he is probably spraying and it really does stink.Personality wise ,I think the difference is in the cat and not the s*x.

  19. hi i have just got 2 female kittens the best think i have done as i have 2 male kittens about 2 mth ago and the 2 pee all over the house so i had to re-home them i have 2 older cat female to so easier to maintain and if it is for your little boy female are best as do not run away

  20. Both are pretty easy to maintain.  However, Males do spray unless they are nuetered.  Getting a male nuetered is far cheaper and getting a female spayed.  Well at least here it is.  When males spray, its just like they are urinating every where when they are old enough to mate.  But if you get a kitten that is already fixed, either male or female, they will be about the same.  Just make sure you love them and provide a good home and they will be happy as can be.

  21. Alright, with my experiences with cats, I would say that male cats are easier to handle because they are more friendlier. Yes, male cats spray but not if you get them fixed in time before they start (this is around 6 months when they are able to be neutered). They spray because they are marking their territory so that other cats know that its his.

  22. Males, by far make better cats. My male cat does not spray, he's indoor though so that might make a difference- don't think so though. I have both male and female cats and males have much better personalities. Females are more shy and skittish. They do not want to be held and cuddled with. Get a male, you wont be sorry!

  23. A male, in my experience.

  24. Female a male will  fight  with other cats and disapear for days on end

  25. female because males spray which is when they pee on things to mark their territory and its not the best thing to clean up.
