  1. Whoa there "Rogers rep," the Curve is $50 less, not $150. I would know, I bought it and returned it within a day. Which brings me to my point:

Aside from the fact that the World Edition is no longer a "current" model by BlackBerry's criteria (it's not being pushed anymore and will face discontinuation soon), it's inferior to the Curve in several ways. The 8300 series is far easier to use and has a phenomenal camera and all the features that the World Edition has (minus the international capability for some countries). But don't be fooled, the fact that the phone is capable of getting service in some countries does not mean the same thing as getting service in the US. You get charged for roaming (huge fees) and the coverage is spotty. Many years ago I went to France with my older Verizon phone (CDMA network only) and it worked just fine. For heavy usage, get the Curve. The keyboard is much more user-friendly and the whole device is much less bulky. The battery life is also slightly better on the Curve.

  2. the curve is cooler in my opinion but for biz the world ed would be better. i had a tough time deciding between the curve and samsungs bjack 2 but samsung game in first

  3. I believe the "World Edition" is the BB 8800? Or something like that? the 88__?

Anyways, the Curve is the way to go. The 8800 does not have a camera, the keys arent as easy to use, and its more expensive. There is no advantage to getting the 8800 anymore. When it first launched, it was the only blackberry with GPS functionality, but now the Curve also have GPS (the 8310, not the 8300).

The Curve has a 2.0 megapixel camera, can play mp3's, the keyboard is easier to type on, and it's about $150-$250 cheaper than the 8800 World Edition.

    EDIT:

Sorry, i guess the advantage to the 8800 would be that it is world capable. Although, if you go with a GSM provider (AT&T in the US, Rogers in Canada) then all phones are world phones.

    EDIT:

Prices may very depending on the service provider. But right now with Rogers the 8800 goes for $350 and the Curve is $200.

  4. I've demo'd practically every Blackberry ever made and I think the new Curve is the best one yet.

  5. As for ease of use, they are running the same OS - so there are no difference in how to use it.

But Blackberry Curve has better keyboard and has camera, while Blackberry World Edition does not have camera and it is slightly bigger.

If you're looking these device at Sprint or Verizon,  Blackberry Curve DOES NOT offer World roaming capability.
