Which is faster a kawasaki kx85 or a yamaha yz85?

i was just wondering cuz i cant tell by watching videos

Pretty much the same. The YZ will feel faster by the seat of the pants because it doesn't use a power valve like the Kawasaki, this causes the power to come on more abruptly making it seem faster, but it's not.

They are too evenly matched to be judged that way, anyone who says the Yamaha is faster would have someone else say the Kawasaki is faster, and someone else might say the Suzuki would smoke them all...Personally I prefer the Honda CR85R but I don't think it's any faster than the others unless I'm on it... :)

Yamaha YZ85 will be faster for moving off, long run is Kawasaki KX85 for sure.

Reason

Yamaha lighter in engine manufacture and Kawasaki manufactured for safety and far distance comfortably.

more or less w hen it comes down to being that close in specs, what makes the diffrence is the rider, not the bike.

they will be basically equal. one could be 1 or 2mph faster than the other. but that would be a slight gearign difference from the factory.  you can always regear either one to accel faster or be top speed faster than the other.
