Which is cheaper: Prescription glasses for someone who is Near Sighted or someone who is Far Sighted?

  1. Actually, its depending on how strong the prescription is that determines the price.

    Lenses of powers of -2.00 and +2.00 would be about the same price, as long as they use the same index lenses and (either both stock or grind).

      


  2. I wouldn't expect it to make much difference. It probably costs much the same to grind the lens convex or concave.

  3. some people will tend to spend more money on a pair of glasses they feel they will wear more i.e their distance specs as they tend to make these more fashionable.

    the reading glasses people may want to spend less on because they will either

    1.not wear them that often

    2.they will be more prone to breakage (left on chairs,tables)

    3.they are in complete denial they are getting older lol


  4. not much difference but the far sighted prescription glasses would cost more than the near sighted glasses as most people are near sighted and far sighted prescriptions are much more rare so it will cost more to find parts for.
