For textile field ,coimbatore is best .For IT field ,chennai is best.Cost of living is more in chennai when compare to coimbatore.But coimbatore is very calm n clean place than chennai.U can lead a peacefull life in coimbatore.The climate will be very cool,bcoz it is near to ooty.chennai is very hot.As im frm coimbatore,i will say coimbatore is better,best than chennai.

this means you should not take coimbatore as ''not good''

coimbatore city also good, but it is only a district headquarters whereas chennai is the capital city of tamilnadu and also all kind of offices, all headquarters offce and all govt offices are at chennai. But, both are in tamilnadu only.

Chennai is a metropolitan city and it is one of the four important metros in India. Some facilities which are available in Chennai are not available in Coimbatore.

However Coimbaotre is surrounded by tourist destinations like Ooty, Pallakad,Thirumoorthy hills etc., Coimbatore has better climate and drinking water.

Chennai is the better city since it is the capital of Tamilnadu and one of the 4 metros in India.
