  1. This is a very difficult question to answer because I believe both the arts and sciences were important to the development of humans.

The arts were important to the development of humans through architecture, literature, and artwork itself. Historical eras are defined by the type of artwork that dominated the period (Renaissance, Impressionism, Post-Modern, etc.) and architectural structures symbolize historical time periods (Ancient Greece - Parthenon, Ancient Rome - Colosseum, etc.). The arts are clearly an important aspect of human society; without it, we wouldn't have beautiful landmarks to visit, museums to see works of art, or classical literature to enjoy.

The sciences are also important, though. Without science, we probably wouldn't have the internet, computers, or cellphones today. Medicine would be nonexistent and the quality of life would be significantly less pleasant than it is now. Throughout history, periods of enlightenment, in which intellectual advancements were made, often paralleled art movements. For example, the Renaissance was a period of both intellectual and artistic development.

Therefore, both the arts and sciences were important to the development of humans.

  2. in arts, you create something that does not exist ; in science you discover what already exists. So, arts are theoretically greater than science because they are the creation of the artist. But practical science is greater because progress depends on it.

  3. arts, i think that its wounderful cause its beautiful.
