Which is louder? The Polk DB 1222 vs 2 Alpine Type R's?

Info:

Polk- 2 12" 2 subs with the Polk factory enclosure (ported) at an overall 2 ohm impedance.

Alpine- 2 12" dual 4 ohm subs with a good prefab ported enclosure (ran down to 2 ohm overall)

*Note both systems would have an adequate amp that feeds just above their RMS rating. Thanks for the feedback

The Alpine Type R's in my opinon will give you the sound quality. When dealing with speakers, it is not all about which is louder; but about sound quality. Polk Audio is know for quality as is Alpine, but I think the Type R's would be louder.
