Which is more 1G.B. OR IG.B. RAM?

WELL in my cell phone i updated 1gb memory card i`m planning to buy a p.c my friend said that 1gb ram is more than 1gb i want to clarify ? how much memory canu add to ur personal p.c what is hard disk how much memory can u update in it

1 GB memory in ur phone and 1 GB RAM are different, the first one is for maximum storage of data where ur phone will have, in later one its maximum memory for temporary process of you computer,

latest motherboards support 1, 2, 4 GB DDR2 RAMS, you can have more RAM based on your requirement, but when it comes to your HDD(harddisk) memory, you can have 40, 80, 160, 240, 320 GB of harddisks depends on your storage capacity

hope you understand the differents, RAM is for only temporary storage and HDD is for permanent storage where you view the files later

I will answer the last first - A hard disk is where your files, music, movies stuff like that is stored it is measured in gigabits the average nowadays is anywhere from 150-250 gb.

Memory (ram) on the other hand drives your programs like games, opening and close windows making calculations. The more RAM the faster response time your programs will have. 1 gig would be the absolute minimum 2 gig is what many computers come with now and some come with 3 gig of RAM. How much you can add after you buy is detremined by the number of slots available in the computer so that is some thing to look at when you buy.

Personally, 3 gig of RAM and a 250 gig HD is the way I would go.

1gb in mobile is the memory or the space in which you can store songs , wallpapers , applications/games etc ..

but 1gb ram in pc is the ram (random access memory) on which the pc runs .. depending apon the ram the speed of the pc is ..
