Which is more buoyant, air or carbon dioxide?

if you were to pour both into a beaker which would be at the top and which would be at the bottom? theoretically speaking.

  1. i think air! because carbon dioxide has carbon in it and it's heavier ! don't know for sure tho

I believe air is lighter hence in an airtight compartment on a ship (that hasn't been properly ventilated)  if you climb down the farther down you go the less oxygen there is.  There are accounts of people climbing down into airtight compartments on ships and containers and so forth and dying because of lack of oxygen.
