biting a fishes head off or slicing it open with a knife ?

Biting the head off sounds nasty, but it causes instant death to the fish so it won't suffer from pain much. Slicing it open won't always kill it, so I think slicing it is more cruel. But if the fish is dead, both are the same

Well I think it all depends on if the fish is dead or alive.  If it's alive, I'd say it's more cruel to slice it open.  If it's dead then it really doesn't matter.

it would not make the slightest difference as to what you would do because animals need specific regions of the cerebral cortex in order to feel pain. And fish do not have them.
