Which is more dangerous?

my friend is a police cadet. she is a ful on poweraddict. well she was driving to a party we were going to one night and 2 of my mates were in the back. she made a wrong turn and zoomed toward the traffic lights which were ALREADY orange, and then went red, and WENT STRAIGHT THROUGH IT! she just laughed... then we made ANOTHER wrong turn and we said, just make a U turn at these traffic lights..

she said

"ohhh NOOO i CANNOT do that! THAT IS SO AGAINST THE LAW AND DANGEROUS!"

....

please explain how that is more dangerous than GOING THROUGH A RED LIGHT!?

here are my points.

1. going THROUGH a red light, the opposite traffic is travelling already and it will cause a crash or scene.

2.there could be a pedestrian walking and we would go right along and kill em.

3. making a U turn at traffic lights, no other traffic is moving toward us, the only danger is if it is a small intersection and the traffic on one side is turning in-but in that case U JUST BE CAREFUL.

Running a red light is illegal anywhere and everywhere. Making a U-Turn is not. Some places, Texas for one, U-Turns are legal unless there is a sign prohibiting them. Your friend is one person I would refuse to ride with. Running a red light is the single most dangerous traffic violation there is and is only done by people who are mentally unstable or cretins.
