  1. Personally I find a canal/river cruise more pleasurable.

For some reason people will always wave to those sittin on boats. They don't wave to people on trains. They look confused n turn away.

    Or maybe it's just me?

  2. Would have to be the train - I get motion sickness on water.  Train especially relaxing if it's one of those old steam trains running through beautiful countryside.  Can recommend the route from Pickering to Grosmont in North Yorkshire

  3. A combination of both would be ideal...

  4. Definetly a river cruise.  To me a slow train journey reminds me of all the wasted hours I've spent on delayed trains.

  5. No brainer here!  The cruise is better.  Much more room to walk around and what not.  Also better views.

More food to choose from too.

  6. canal cruise

  7. combination of both would be great. If i had to choose- the river cruise.

  8. Depends on what your into the view from a train or that on top of a ship if your seasick or think you are then go with the train journey ive always liked the word journey sounds like an accomplishment

  9. i hate travaling by train..the deleys..the smell on them..the dirt

so it would have to be River/cruise

  10. river cruise is best
