  1. Sometimes I consider myself a fossil that has adhered to some pretty foolish philosophy over the ages.  Although the first person to ans. this question was probably right, to me philosophy is 'love of knowledge' or 'love of wisdom' that is we search for these things.  The search can seem foolish or not.

  2. philosophy is not foolish, it a subject that make u think and have common sense, it have a purpose

  3. If we're comparing fact with belief, then fact wins hands down, every time. Facts can exist independently of belief.  Beliefs do not always depend upon facts. All too often, they run counter to fact.

When playing the odds, philosophy is a safer bet. It's more likely to be foolish.

  4. Fossils are old...philosophy is forever being renewed..theories and beliefs  are always changing

  5. Philosophy CAN be, depending on what's being argued.  But there's nothing foolish about fossils.  They are just the imprinted remains of something.  They just ARE.  hehe

  6. Philosophy can be sound or foolish, fossils are just dead.  So the greater chance of being foolish goes to philosophy.

  7. none is foolish-both are right at there places

  8. fossils are dead so philosophy

  9. Some philosophers are fossils.  Thus, both are foolish...but a needed requirement in this oh so foolish world.

  10. Without a doubt...YES !!!!!

  11. You obviously want us to say philosophy is foolish and fossils prove what went before, unless it's false fossils just as scientists can be fooled by copies of paintings or writings. fossil fuels, the earths abundant wealth, wars have been fought over it, people have died retrieving it.

  12. Neither,  Theorizing about life and clues about life. What is foolish about them?

  13. if you consider a search for facts and truth then they are equally foolish!

  14. I think I am, It is just because philosophy and fossils were a lot older than I am. 'Still learning from them.

I can't judge that right from the dinosours to Confucius or Socrates. A lot greater things than me.

  15. Your question

  16. EASY!! Philosophy. Fossils go back millions of years

  17. What a tongue twister...

  18. this question is foolish

  19. I wouldn't choose either as foolish - but more important of the two choices , to me , is philosophy .

  20. In my opinion neither is foolish for they both have a purpose.

But, your question asks if I had to choose one, which would be the higher catagory of foolish--- so I will say fossils.

  21. Philosophy is really just a matter of opinion. I wouldn't necessarily consider it to be foolish, however, it is the lesser sound of the two.

  22. Fossils are concrete and provide real answers, philosophy is interpretive and can cause a looot of fights lol so i think philosophy is more foolish

  23. foolish philosophers find fat furious females phoning for  fossils for friday

  24. It's a matter of opinion...I don't find either foolish in the least.

  25. phonically or grammatically

both are quit close aren't they......

  26. they are te same

  27. I like the question.

From your pespective sitting around and thinking about stuff is a waste of time. Everyone (including me) that answers in this forum are complete fools becuase you have so much more fun in life.

From the reverse perspective, you've gone to a group of people that think about philosophy (presumeably becuse they think there's something in it) and insulted them. They think you are a fool.

Who's correct? You obviously think you are, the people here think they are.

    Welcome to philosophy.

  28. Neither.

  29. No matter how hard they try, fossils have a hard time being foolish, unless you're referring to the human kind.  They just sit there being what they are.  Philosophers on the other hand can be as foolish or wise as they are dedicated to seeking truth without prejudice, without pre-conceived ideas, in whatever way it presents itself.

Philosophy is our attempts at figuring out how we come to know.  As long as it is sincere and humble, although it may be mistaken, seeking truth about our truthseeking is never foolish.
