Can you tell me which one basically makes more money and gets more advantageous hours and which one is in more demand.

tell me if im wrong, do radiologists work with stuff likee ct scans, mri's, x-rays, and stuff like that or do they do other things as well. and do they have to know how to look for diseases or just operate the machine

  1. It's not even comparable.

A radiologist can have as little as 2 years of school/training.  A physician needs 8 years of school, plus an internship and a residency.  It's like comparing a Little League player to an NFL player....both in skill and salary!

  2. I think that radiologists are the ones who read the scans...and radiologic technologists are the ones who operate the machines.  When you ask which is more "fulfilling", are your next questions subcategories of that overarching question, or are they separate questions entirely?  I don't think that money/work hours is what makes people feel "fulfilled".  I would say physicians get better pay and work longer hours, but...this is a lay-person speaking.

Bruce J: Well that's kind of a harsh metaphor, but...perhaps accurate.
