  1. Alcohol causes permanent brain damage, frequently severe, and marijuana doesn't. Both can demotivate and reduce your ability to think and your coordination and driving ability, but alcohol has a worse downside in that regard. Heavy alcohol use can also kill you from cirrhosis and liver cancer, cost you your job and family, leave you in the gutter or attending AA meetings for the rest of your life. It can also make you violent. Marijuana can make you paranoid, but while that's extremely unpleasant (and the reason I don't use it anymore) it doesn't do any long term harm. And marijuana can harm your lungs, although it doesn't seem to cause lung cancer or otherwise increase the risk of fatal death.

On the other hand, marijuana can cause the Zonker Harris effect, turn you into a space cadet. And moderate alcohol consumption can ward off heart attacks and prolong your life, particularly if you're drinking read wine, which appears to contain powerful anti-aging compounds.

So I'd say alcohol is worse overall, since it has a much worse potential downside, but that in light daily consumption alcohol may be preferable, depending on whether you're more interested in life prolongation or your brain cells.

  2. A little alcohol a day is actually good for your heart, according to some clinical studies.  Sure, it's probably still bad for you liver.

Marijuana is pretty detrimental to one's social/professional life too from my observances.  I'm biased against the drug, I admit, but I've known a lot of people to have done it daily.  They all also happen to be pretty stupid, pessimistic and lazy people.

In all, I think doing either daily is pretty dumb, but I'd say it's a toss-up between your social life and your health.  Alcohol is probably more detrimental to your health, but I don't know a single person that does marijuana (more than occasionally) that makes decent money or really has anything going for them.

** It's so obvious that all the potheads would give me thumbs down.

  3. They pretty much get you the same high, but alcohol is worse for your health. Only idiots smoke pot though.

  4. Doing anything like that on a daily basis is not good for you.  Alcohol does more harm to your body, but marijuana is illegal, so you're more apt to get in major trouble with it.  I do have a friend who was drinking a lot, and decided to give up alcohol and stick to pot only.  His grades went up because it was costing him more to buy the pot, so he had to get a job.  At work he had plenty of time to study, so then he decided he might as well start going to class regularly.  With alcohol, he was ending up in the ER with alcohol poisoning, and was hung over all the time.

  5. Simple. Drinking alcohol daily is far worse.

Drinking does more damage to your body. Also, drinking everyday is a lot worse for the public too.

How many people die from drunk driving? Too many.

How many people die from high driving? Not a lot.

Being drunk affects your behavior a lot worse than being high.

  6. Marijuana is much beeter than alcohol. Smoke up and open your mind to within. LEGALIZE!!! One love

  7. being super high is better than being super drunk

the reason is if you're not frinking in your house you end up driving drunk

alot of people (innocent people) die from drunk drivers.

being high you just sit arounf your house

    laughing at stupid stuff

    you're only hurting yourself there..

if you get super drunk you're hurting other people too.

  8. Drinking alcohol daily.

  9. Never seen it but I bet he's right!

Hence why I do it everyday :)

  10. There have been 0 reported deaths as a result of marijuana use. Alcohol is WAY more harmful. Learn more about medical marijuana at www.accsocal.com

  11. absolutley hands down alcohol is worse.  marijuana has no addictive properties.  git jah mind ritemon

  12. David Rivers doesn't know what he is talking about. I know plenty of people who smoke and are successful and I'm far from lazy. Alcoholism is a disease. When you smoke a lot people just call you a lazy stoner.

  13. Well Ive seen this question many times on here,so heres the same answer

    Short term,alcohol

    Long term,weed

I already know what you think about the both,so I dont need to explain further.

  14. It depends on how much alcohol you are talking about.  If you were getting drunk every day then alcohol is definately worse, your liver will give out after a few years of that.  If you only have one or two you are actualy reducing your risk of heart disease.  There really have not been to many links of disease to pot smoking until you go into the ten joints a day range.

  15. Depends on who you ask, the alcoholic or the "pot head".

    Drinking in my opinion.
