  1. I think if you make roti without ghee ans eat with southindian veg... that should be healthy. Avoid potatos, Rajma, chhole etc and eat more of fresh vegetables like spinach, methi, bhindi etc....

    It depends on the way we cook our food,

    Too much oil, too much masala, chilly not good for health

    Rice is good as it has protein, wheat is good as it has fibre

    I think a combination of South and north Indian is good for health

    N. indian dfelicacies are fatty and dinner time cuisine.S.indians eat fish which is goot for mind.

  8. well, people...... unhealthy food is every where in da country... ppl gonna eat food which is testy...... health comes secondary for us... but we Indian need to wake up and choose healthy food...which u will find every where in da country.

    I like Konkani (west cost of Maharashtra) or Goan food which made from coconut milk. yummy and testy... hot n spicy fish curry.... wow i can't resist my self...

    Personally, i think north indian food is much healthier coz it uses wheat more than rice. I put on weight if go on rice.

I am a great fan of south indian food like idli and dosa, but recently there had been a trend, where dieticians recommend against bad carbs like rice, and south indian food includes a lot of starchy rice. On the other hand north indian food,  although has fat due to paneer or parathas, are not high in starch and carbohydrates. It depends on each person opinion, but if you are on a diet to lose weight stay away from rice.
