  1. You have to tell us what metal and what alloy.

An alloy is a mixture of metals.

Pewter is an example of an alloy.  Its a mixture of silver and tin.

  2. It depends on what alloy and what metal you are comparing. An alloy is a mixture of different metals. Are there two that you are talking about specifically?

  3. An alloy is simply a mix of two or more metals.

Since there are light metals (beryllium, lithium, magnesium, aluminum, etc.), medium-density metals (titanium, copper, zinc, iron, cobalt, nickel, etc.), and high-density metals (gold, lead, tungsten, iridium, etc.), it depends which combination of metals you choose.

Aluminum alloys generally have a density of around 0.10 pounds per cubic inch.  Iron alloys have a density of around 0.28 pounds per cubic inch.  Tungsten is extremely dense: 0.70 pounds per cubic inch.
