  3. I know that it's a stupid question, but I'm going to answer anyways - read Herbert Marcuse, "Reason and Revolution" - he talks about the relationship between freedom and philosophy; also, Erich Fromm, "Escape From Freedom"

    Read them both - and then go out there, and fight for a free world
