  1. Biology is more interesting.  You can see obvious evidences of it all around you, so it reaffirms itself in your mind.  Chem is a lot of memorization and you can't ever slack off or you'll fall behind really quick.  Which class you should take also depends on what grade level you're at.  If you're in high school, chem would be better since it will be something you probably won't want to take if you go to college and quite often it's a requirement.  Usually you'll have more choices in college in the biological sciences requirement category and one of those might be more interesting to you.  If you're already in college, take biology if your major lets you.  College chem sucks.

  2. I have studied both at GCSE level and whilst I got the same grade in each I definately feel that Biology is easier.  Even though there are specialist terms the basis of alot of it is common sense whilst chemistry is rather illogical.  But, at the end of the day it is you who will be taking hte subject and therefore only you can decide.  If you will be studying it at GCSE level just drop me a note so I can suggest some of the material you will be covering in each subject which may help you make up your mind :D

  3. Well, Chemistry uses more math than biology does. In bio, all you need to do is memorize facts. =)

  4. In my opinion, Biology is easier, but it depends.

Biology and Chemistry require different ways of thinking. Biology for the most part, is all memorization. It's interesting, because you learn about the world around you, but there isn't a lot of "wiggle room". You memorize facts, and then regurgitate them on the test.

Chemistry on the other hand requires more inquiry based thinking. You need to actually understand concepts, and know how to apply them to experiments. Also, Chemistry requires a lot more math than Bio.
