  1. If you look only the productivity on 1 machine or provider of men power, then it is definitely capitalism, because the owner of capital take out maximum of working force. If you are owner you will look that 1 machine will work 24/7 and you will try to have there as little manpower as you could.

  2. Capitalism is more productive because it is the modern form of slavery. But capitalism never lasts long becuase eventually the division between the poor and rich will be so great and the percentage of poor in the population will be so large that the entire system will collapse.

  3. capitalism; It was America's system and we were the most prosperous nation in the world.  Now we're headed for a depression, but that happens about every 50 years, under any system.

  4. Capitalism because the primary incentive is the accumulation of wealth which inspires productivity to gain more wealth than the competitor.

  5. A mix of both would be better. That's because socialism in its purest form stifles creativity and ambition and capitalism creates a system where there is an enormous number of poor people who do all the work while a privileged few live off of them in obscene luxury.
