Which is more substantial'High Tea'or 'Afternoon Tea'?and why?

  1. They are really the same thing, though people tend to eat more at High Tea, while it's okay just to get a biscuit or snack at afternoon tea.


  2. I believe " High Tea" is an actual meal like lunch or dinner. Afternoon Tea, is more of a snack.

  3. High tea was for priveliged children, usually given by their nanny, and considered their "dinner".

    Afternoon tea is just a snack with a cuppa, mid afternoon.
