Which is more type of running needed for box ?

continous distant running for 3 km / alternative sprinting and jogging for the same distance(e.g. 200*7)

  1. I always did both... run 12K 3 days a week, wind sprints 2 days a week...and two light days, an easy 5K jog, about 8 1/2 minute miles.

    A lot of club fighters do not fully appreciate the amount of stress they put on their legs in a fight.  Not only does the running help with your stamina in a fight, it also helps you regulate your breathing, it is good for your overall fitness going into a fight.  When you are running, especially distances, it is a good time to focus on the mental part of the game to get sharp for when you are in the ring...


  2. You should run long distance 5-7 miles 5-6 days a week now it would not hut to run some win sprints but remember a fight is not 100 meters it is a marathon
