Which is most luxurious hotel in Puerto Vallarta, near shopping/Malecon?

I would have to say that the Plaza Pelicanos Grand Beach Resort is quite nice.  The rooms are spacious, very comfy bed.  The view from the room was to die for.

The Camino Real, has been Dreams Vallarta Resort & Spa for the past 3 yrs.  Also the La Jolla de Mismaloya is now owned by Barcelo.  Both are good properties but both are All-Inclusive's.

Camino Real in Cochas Chinas is a little bit further than the Sheraton, but the beach is way nicer.  It is south of Playa los Muertos where there are more cliffs.  Camino Real is still like 5 minutes away from Downtown by Taxi, and you should check out the "No Name Boutique", i dont mean to SPAM you but last time i was in Vallarta they had really nice clothes and a very large himudor of authentic cuban cigars, also everybody there speaks fluent English.

We have stayed there many times, beautiful, great beds never want to get out of them, 600 thread linens, close to downtown and shopping, if you stay on 3rd floor you get a balcony, great pools.

Gran mayan (from mayan palace Resorts.)

It is awesome, 20 minutes away from vallarta.

It has Golf course, ennis, great beaches, a huge swimming pool, aqua park, Spa, bar, disco, small swimming pools in each hotel room.

You will have a good time.
