Which is my debit "card number"? Paying online?

Hello, i want to pay for something online using my lloyds tsb visa card. They ask for my "card number". Which one is this? Is it the 16 digit one along the top? or the one at the bottom left that is in xx xx xx format, or the 8 digit one to the right of that? Or a combination of them all?

Please DONT advise me to be carefull paying online, i know that, just dont know which is my "card number".

  1. It's the long number across the middle of the card - usually 16 digits split into 4 sets of four digits.  if you are then asked for a three digit security code, it's the last three digits found on the white signature strip on the back of your card.  Hope that helps!


  2. Hi, It is the long 16 digit number across the middle.

    You will also be asked for the last 3 numbers on the white strip at the back of your card (that shows as the same 16 numbers + 3 more)

    Then you will be asked for start date and expiry date. (Some companies only ask for one of these but usually both)

    They won't ask for your Lloyds/TSB Account number and sorting code. (You only need that for Direct Debit payments)

    That's about it.
