Question:

Which is my real height? morning or later?

I'm a 18 year old male...i started growing in my late 16's...

my question is..when i wake up my height is 180cm/5'11...but then during the day i get shorter...to about 178/5'10....whih is my real height? the one i wake up too...or the one i get later in the day?

  2. I would go with the morning height, but I think that really it's up to you.

    It all depends on wither you are using your height to size the mattress or if you are using your height for ID purposes.  If you get out of bed, travel to school, doctor's office, etc.  and measure hour height, then that is what I would go with.  When you get older, the discs in your spine will compress and you will become shorter.  Just say your 5' 10.5"  +/- 0.5 and leave it at that.

  4. My best guess is the one in the morning as your body breakdown  (catabolism) cells and build them up.( anabolism )  But  don't think you would shrink at night as you are young and still growing.  Only the elderly start getting hunchback and start losing their height.  

  5. Well, I would say they both are.  However, I cant imagine too many instances where you would need to have your height measured as soon as you have woken up.  Generally these measurements would be taken later in the day, so 178 cms would probably be the height on your driver's license etc.
