  1. I'd personally feel safer in a Volvo.

  2. Like comparing Nascar with Mercedes-Benz.The Mercedes is very safe with all air-bags,reinforced doors, reinforced seats front & back. The fact Princess Diana's body guard survived (with seatbelt on) after car rammed a cement divider and flipped at 70MPH attests. However Nascar  can hit wall at 200,flip 3 times, then get rammed by another car while driver WALKS away is a whole new level of safety. Also I believe rally cars (Nascar for sure) come packed with a safety bag fuel tank. That means kevlar and other fabric materials you and hit with a tree ax and will not puncture. For my driving I'll take the fully loaded Volvo and give the helmet to a biker buddy.

  3. They are designed for different purposes.  Each is designed to be safe for its intended purpose, not for something else.  My answer to the question "which is safer" is:

For driving on normal streets at moderate speeds with two-way traffic, the Volvo.

For racing in a rally, the rally car.

  4. I take the rally car over the volvo, I dont need A/C anyway..
