If building a 3 dimentional structure in space or under water, which shape is better suited to prevent both implosion and explosion when there are continuous or sudden extreme changes in pressure?

  1. i will choose triangle in shape because the triangle binds together not like the hexagon that have many side and their is a tendency that it will breakdown

  2. If the pressure is uniform, the hexagon might be better (a circle even better)

If the external pressure is uneven, a triangle might be more stable, but for a given enclosed area, the bending stresses in the (longer) sides of the triangle will be greater than in the shorter sides of the hexagon.

  3. Triangle, it has more support, but naturally becomes hexagonal.
