Which birth control out there has the least side affects?? I'm on Kariva and have been for 2 years and have noticed that I'm losing my hair because of it? I know people react differently, but any suggestions?

  1. I think all birth control methods, other than condoms, have side effects. Sometimes, side effects disappear once your body adjusts to the medicine.

  2. Condoms are the only birth control with no medical side effects (aside from occasional latex allergy), and the only method that protects against STIs.

Other than that, if you have trouble with pills, you can change around and see if a different combination suits you better. Also there are injections (which I don't recommend, as they have a lot of side effects and can damage fertility), and an inplant that lasts 3 years.

All hormonal contraception has potential side effects, it's a matter of finding one that suits you best.

    Good luck!
