  1. I've always preferred Arabians myself.  Horses are just beautiful creatures period.

  2. Wow, hard question...they are all so beautiful and breath-taking. I would have to go with the Arabian because of their elegance and strength and refinement all in one. Though, again, its hard to say one over the other. But as far as sheer beauty, ill say the arabian.

  3. It really just depends on what people think of as jaw dropping. everyone has a diffent opinion. s for me, I absoloutely LOVE Arabians. Their dished heads, and wide-set, kind eyes have me wrappped aroung their finger, actually hoof LOL.

  4. Thoroughbred's are the most beautiful!!!

  5. Arabians are very beautiful, but my vote for most beautiful breed would have to go to the Andalusian for jaw-dropping beauty.

  6. the standard bread americian quator horse you can do any thing with the same horse race. trail ride. show. rope. work cattle. jump. work to a buggy. and 99% have a grate disposotion.

  7. The arabian is okay.  I personally dont like them.  I LOVE the warmbloods.  Especially like my horse, an oldenburg <33333

  8. I think the 3 main ones, Arabians, Thoroughbreds, and Quarter Horses. You have to admit these are the 3 most popular breeds in the world for a reason! =]

  9. It depends because being a barrel racer I am more attracted to muscular, flexible horses, but still I find horses like arabians beautiful. Everyone has their own opinion. There is no such thing as the most beautiful breed of horse.

  10. thoroughbreds are gorgeous, but i have to say i love the quarter horse. either way. both breeds are beautiful.

  11. Friesians have to be the most exquisite, versatile horse on the planet. They don't get any better than that !!!! :):)  Bar None.

  12. the Arabian is ok but i truly think that Thoroughbreds are the jaw dropping, most beautiful, and most exciting horses in the world.

if you have that special Thoroughbred in a race and it watch him go by in slow motion, you really do go wide-eyed.

Thoroughbreds have been around in huge Triple Crown races for more then 139 years. which does go back a long time ago.

but for theses horses to take in the hearts of millions for their beauty and for their athletic ability, its hard not to like them.

  13. a true champion Thoroughbred pulling away from grade 1 competition as if they were claimers.

  14. From the ancient deserts of the Middle East evolved the oldest known breed of riding horse, the Arabian. Now one of the most popular breeds in America, the Arabians' incredible energy, intelligence and gentle disposition allow riders to excel in most equine sports and activities.

For thousands of years, Arabians lived among the desert tribes of the Arabian peninsula, bred by the Bedouins as war mounts for long treks and quick forays into enemy camps. In these harsh desert conditions evolved the Arabian with its large lung capacity and incredible endurance.

The severe climate required the nomads to share food and water, and sometimes even their tents with their horses. As a result, Arabians developed a close affinity to man and a high intelligence.

Over the centuries, the Bedouin tribes zealously maintained the purity of the breed. Because of their limited resources, breeding practices were extremely selective. Such practices, which eventually helped the Arabian become a prized possession throughout the world, have led to the beautiful athletic breed we know today, which is marked by a distinctive dished profile; large, lustrous, wide-set eyes on a broad forehead; small, curved ears; and large, efficient nostrils.

Even today the purebred Arabian is virtually the same as that ridden in ancient Arabia. Arabians now display their athletic talents in a variety of disciplines from English to Western, with the Arabian positioned as the undisputed champion of endurance events.

The high intelligence, trainability, gentle disposition and stamina of the Arabian enable it to excel at a wide variety of activities popular today. Arabians are excellent on the trail as well as in the show ring. Show classes in English and western pleasure, cutting and reining, even jumping and dressage provide opportunities for fun and enjoyment at both all-Arabian events and open breed shows alike. As an endurance horse, the Arabian has no equal. The top prizes at endurance events almost always go to riders of Arabians. Arabian racing is another sport becoming more and more popular in recent years. In the past, considered the "Sport of Kings," Arabian racing is now enjoyed by racing enthusiasts at tracks across the country. In addition, the Arabians' Bedouin heritage is evident in their unequaled ability to bond with humans, making them the perfect horse for family members of all ages.

With today's prices comparable with other popular breeds, excellent Arabian horses are now accessible to a broad base of horse enthusiasts. And, with more living Arabian horses in the United States than in all the other countries in the world combined, America has some of the best horses and breeding farms from which to choose.

  15. Arabians are great, but I think the best, most beautiful breed is the American Quarter horse. There really is nothing like them. They are very sweet and have the ability to do anything.

  16. THE most jaw dropping drop-dead- gorgeous horse breed is the purebreed Friesian- especially the older baroque or classic body type.  What a fairy tale.

    "Cold Land, Friesland

        From whence I sailed.

    Wind-whipped Viking masts,

         Wind-whipped mane.

    From Hadrain's Wall

          to Crusader's call,

    I am the standard bearer

         of Victory

         and Fame."

  18. Well since I am into sports and only 11 years old. I know alot about animals mostly horses, dogs, and cats. Not arabians. I havr had 9 arfabians you do not want them. Thoroughbreds, quarter horses, and welsh mountain ponies. Or a quarter pony. Look them up and look at the information of the exact horses. You will find many different facts about each kind of horse.
