  1. i hear bud select is 99 calories!...not the greatest lol but im use to drinking light so i can deal with it...and for mix drinks  i believe its better to go with lighter liquors?

  2. mixed drinks if you mix them with club soda. Beer, light or not is still "liquid bread".

  3. OK...this is really a tough one to answer. Light beers are safest...because you always know exactly how many calories and carbs you are getting. Liquor (not mixed drinks) are officially the safest, averaging around 75 calories and zero carbs an ounce. The problem with this is that unless you are doing shots (1.5oz and 97 calories) you never know exactly how much you are getting. The bartender could be giving you double shots since he/she likes you and the calories are now up in the 150 range. Add into that a sugary mixer and your calories and carbs are in the 300 range and sometimes WELL over 500.

Stick with light beer if you are that concerned. In order to be a light it has to have 124 Calories or less...Guinness missed it by one calorie...and they always have the states on the label.

Personally, I like taste. I stick with regular beer, walk to the bar, take the stairs and skip the 3am chili cheese burgers and burritos. Those are what kill the average drinker...literally. Have you seen the cholesterol count on them?

  4. GIN AND TONIC...best thing ever and is the LEAST fattening mixed drink...

  5. Drinking liquor or mixed drinks is better IF the mixer used has no calories.  If the mixer is sweet (coke), the light beer will be the slimmer choice.

A shot of liquor and serving of beer will contain roughly the same alcohol, which is caloric, but beer (even light beer) contains some carbohydrates and sugars from the grain it is made from.  Thus comparing equal "doses" of liquor and beer, liquor has less calories.  This will remain the case if you mix it with a non-caloric mixer: diet soda, club soda, water, etc.

However, most mixed drinks are very sugary from the coke, red bull, fruit juice, etc.  These mixers will make the drink far more caloric than a light beer.

  6. i believe that bacardi rum and diet cola is better then coors light

Bacardi Superior and Diet Cola. 66-85 Calories, 0 Carbs, 0 Sugar, 0 Fat

when i drink beer its always coor slight when i have  amixed drink is usually bacardi and diet sprite

im pretty slim and i can drink like a fish!

  7. try vodka with tonic only 60 calories
