Anywhere in Kashmir try Leh and Ladakh its amazing other good options are ooty (South), Darjeeling (east) or Himachal Pradesh (like Shimla, Kausali, Kufri) or Uttaranchal (Mussorie)

My favorite is definitely Dharamshala

SHIMLA no doubt about it!!!!!! monkey temple at the peak that you can hike to at sunrise to meditate with hundreds of monkeys. Not to mention that the entire station is only made for travel on foot and it is great to walk around. I f*cking loved that place. I've been to a few others including Darjeeling (not impressed). It's SO worth it trust me!
