Well, for an XM8 I'd have to say the Well XM8 is the best bang for your buck. 360FPS with a .20 gram. My friend has it and the mag is broken, but it's nice and big and sturdy.

As for the M14, it depends on how much you want to spend.

For 250 bucks, you can get a top-of-the-line G&G. 400FPS  with a 0.20 gram, with lots of metal internals and parts. There's a review if you scroll down the page. Not in stock.

For 120 bucks, you can get an AGM, which I really know nothing about. It comes with a Scope and Bipod, and goes 330 FPS with a 0.20 gram, combined with metal gears/gearbox. Not in stock.
