  1. Of the large ship lines, Princess tends to get highest marks on its Alaska cruises. What's best for you will also depend on your personalities, demographics, and budget.

Most cruises to Alaska leave out of Seattle and Vancouver, but some leave out of Whittier, close to Anchorage.

Contact your travel agent to help you decide what the best option for you is, or contact me and I will help you.

  2. My 360 page reveals the best deals on cruises.  The pics are me and my best friends on Royal and Carnival.  We travel all year long making a living, living.  Come join us and we look forward to meeting you on one of our up scale cruise line for whole sale pricing!!!

  3. Everyone wil have a different recommendation.  My wife and I took Royal Caribbean from Vancouver, then 4 days inland on one of their cruisetours.  Although other cruises might be different, I higly recommend a balcony or outside stateroom for Alaska.  There is so much spectacular scenery to see along the way that you will be glad you picked the outside cabin.

  4. The Alaskan cruise I went on (Royal Caribbean) departed from Vancouver with stops in Juneau, Ketchikan, and Skagway, and turned around in Glacier Bay.  It was 7 days long, and a lot of fun, though it wasn't cheap.

  5. They have cruises leaving from Seattle & Anchorage. However if prefer to see more of the natural beauty of Alaska and wildlife I would highly suggest a cruisetour. You have the choice of starting with a cruise first then land tour or land tour first. Altho several lines offer this Princess.com offers the lower rates and you stay at better lodges. 5 star  and with the other lines 4 star lodges. Check out Princess 9N which starts with a 7 day cruise and 4 day land tour for $1399. each.

Now with a balcony cabin you need to add an average of $500.. each to this. Plus, consider with a balcony cabin you only get to see 1 sided view of things and everyone else is up on deck see everything. Your choice.

Princess right now is offering just a 7 day cruise from Anchorage to Vancouver for just $399. each.

All prices are plus airfair. And no matter what anyone tells you Alaska is not expensive.

I am just a visitor to Alaska and truly learning and see something different everytime I go there.

    Go & ENJOY.

  6. This is an excellent site with some wonderful options for you.

  7. I've been on 2 Alaska cruises.  I loved both of them.  There is lots to do on an Alaska cruise - lots of wildlife to see, quaint towns to visit, and plenty of amazing views to enjoy.  If you want to book an Alaska cruise I'd definitely recommend Princess Cruises - their website is http://www.princess.com.  I would recommend that you purchase your cruise through my favorite travel agency, American Discount Cruises - their website is http://www.americandiscountcruises.com

Hopefully this helps you plan your Alaska cruise - you'll have a great time!
