  1. It matters which things in physics interest you. Are you interested more in particle physics (e.g., electricity, sub-atomic particles, etc.), or are you interested more in larger-mass physics (e.g., Newtonian physics, F=mA, forces acting on bodies, etc.)

I'm a civil engineer, and most of your interests would appear to correspond well to my field. I deal almost exclusively with larger-mass physics, though dealing with earthquakes does delve into wave mechanics and signal response quite a bit. However, the field has a very broad spectrum of specialties, and there are many directions you can take your career. I don't use biology a lot, though.

I'll warn you, though: civil engineering typically pays the least of all of the major branches of engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, biological, chemical, industrial). However, there is more to it than just money. Of all the engineers, civils often have the most variety in their jobs. I'll spend one week helping design a bridge, and the next week helping design a levee system. Also, we seem to have a lot more freedom to come and go than other engineers do. As a civil engineer, I get to go outside a lot, and I get to travel to some really cool places. It beats having to sit at a desk in a collared shirt and tie every day for the rest of my life!

  2. Mechanical and electrical engineering is a great place to be right now, and is a great skill to learn.

They say that hardware is the new software in the sense that software can only go so far and hardware still has tons of potential.

    Good luck.

  3. Physics would be the best

  4. This is a very subjective question. If you are trying to determine a possible career, it should be something you decide on your own.

I'm an electrical engineer and architecture, design, and physics are a huge part of it, but it might not be what you're interested in because those subjects are very broad.

I highly suggest you read up on all the engineering fields (start here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engineering ) and determine what fits you best.
