Which is the best French or Chinese restaurant that I can take my wife to for our annivesary on 8th August?

It will be our 2nd wedding annivesary and she loves French and Chinese. But on this occasion, I'd like to take her to a fine dining place. Any ideas? I'm new to SIngapore and don't have much knowledge of the 5 star restaurants.

Check out Vis A Vis in Bukit Timah. It's located along Chun Tin Road opposite Beauty World. I'd brought my wife there on a few occassions and we were never disappointed with the food. It's great.
